Summary:  Lead the team that is responsible for implementing the large group for toddlers - Pre-K. Work with the Ridge Kids Groups Director to ensure every kid has a caring leader and a consistent group of peers.

 

One-line Job Description:  To lead, equip, and encourage the birth - preschool ministry team of staff, volunteers, and parents in leading their kids in a growing relationship with God and others.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:  

 

Main Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversee scheduling needs for Sunday services.

  • Provide consistent vision casting, orientation, and training for new and existing volunteers.

  • Attend weekly planning meetings. (Monday staff meeting, Wednesday Family Ministry Team meetings)
     
  • Lead the team that is responsible for implementing the large group for toddlers - Pre-K.
  • Provide point leadership for volunteers in our Birth - Pre-K.

  • Assisting with Ridge Kids milestones & moments for your area (i.e. Baby Dedication)

  • Interface for parental issues and concerns as needed.

  • Be a visible presence on Sunday mornings in the Birth - Pre-K area.

  • Along with the Ridge Kids Groups Director, provide direction and implementation of all curriculum and programming for the birth - Pre-K.

  • Assist in the setup of rooms and preparations needed for weekend services.

  • Be in the process of replacing yourself (teaching someone else how to do what you do).
     
  • Other duties may be assigned.
 

Serve on the overall CRC staff team which includes:

  • Collaborate with Elementary Ministries to ensure effective transition of children between departments.

  • Act as an ambassador for CRC by positively reflecting the vision, mission, and values to those inside and outside our walls.

  • Be able to assess and advise attendees and volunteers as to how and where they can take their next steps towards God and within the ministry.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before community group members and attendees of the church.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability: 

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills: 

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google applications.

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

This position has no company supervisory responsibilities, but will supervise volunteers who serve in the Community Group Ministry.
