One Line Job Description:  To cast vision, recruit and equip volunteers on our First Impressions team to connect new families with their next best steps toward God and others.

 

Team: Family Ministry Team (Birth-PreK Director, Kids and Middle School Director, High School Director, Family Ministry Administrative Assistant); Will also work closely with Kids Team and Guest Services Team


Qualifications:

  • Heart and passion for connecting people
  • Loves engaging people in conversation and helping them take their next best step toward God
  • Strong skill set in verbal communication
  • Able to lead and manage volunteers
  • Strong love for CRC and our family ministries
  • Able to work Sundays

Overall Responsibilities:

 
  • Lead team huddles to cast vision and equip volunteers to connect people to our kids and family ministry.
  • Coordinate and schedule welcome center volunteers (running welcome center desks, hosts to walk new families to rooms, kiosks, and set up/tear down of each - don’t need to be running anything Sunday mornings unless can’t be scheduled)
  • ACTS [attracting, connecting, training & sustaining] volunteers

  • Ensure that running slides are current on Main TV behind new family check in

  • Ensure that all info cards and other needed materials for each ministry are kept up to date at check in and welcome areas

  • Follow Up with new families

  • Make sure that all welcome center areas and kiosks are clean each week

  • Coordinate Sunday PM volunteers once/4-8 week period

 

Serve on the overall CRC staff team which includes:

  • Providing assistance on all-church initiatives [baptism and membership interviews]

  • Collaborate with all Family Ministries to ensure new families

  • Act as an ambassador for CRC by positively reflecting the vision, mission, strategy and values to those inside and outside our walls
  • Be able to assess and advise attendees and volunteers as to how and where they can take their next steps towards God and within the ministry
