Summary: The Groups Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative and systems support for the Group’s Ministry in our Adult Ministry department at CRC.

One-line Job Description: To build an ever expanding network of healthy adult groups.

Relevant and growing mega-church is seeking a part-time (25 Hours a week) Groups Coordinator for our Adult Ministry. You will join with a dynamic staff team in a grace-filled environment taking cues from North Point Ministries and "Simple Church".

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Adult Ministry
  • Act as an ambassador for CRC by positively reflecting the vision, mission, strategy and values to those inside and outside our walls.
  • Be able to assess and advise attendees and volunteers as to how and where they can take their next steps towards God and within the ministry.
  • Assist Singles coordinator and Next Steps director as directed under the supervision of the Adult Life Pastor
  • In planning events for the adult ministry, the group coordinator will be responsible for organizing food, childcare, registration, set-up, decorations and clean-up of events.
  • Performs other duties as requested by Adult Life Pastor.
Community Groups
  • Act as the Grouplink coordinator in preparation and task management assigning and completing tasks as needed leading up to the event and follow up afterwards to ensure assimilation of attenders.
  • Update ministry groups and events in MyCRC.
  • Manage new leader process including scheduling and/or assisting interviews, making leader packets, and following up to get accurate group information.
  • Send multiplication reminders and assist with assimilation as needed for the Group Link event.
Short Term Groups - (Men, Women, Parenting, Marriage, Spiritual Growth, Singles)
  • Serve as the groups' contact for group leaders for Community groups, short term groups, men, and women.
  • Be the point person for our Women's short term groups in recruiting, training, and leading women.
  • Coordinate with Adult Pastor that all short term groups are ready to launch by communicating and working with the leaders to make sure they have the content ready, room set-up and their role in leading explained.
  • Ensure that the rooms for groups are reserved and set-up and ready for the groups.
Training

 

  • Be responsible for planning and orchestrating groups events and volunteer trainings under the direction of the Adult Pastor.
  • Coordinate retreats, leader trainings, off-site meetings and other group events under the direction of the Adult Pastor.

Starting Point

  • Be the point leader for communicating with  Starting Point leaders, SP Orientation, and SP leader training. Communicate with SP leaders and potential starting point attendees throughout the process of orientations through the completion of the class addressing any questions and needs.
  • Ensure starting point has all the materials needed and in place to launch groups

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before community group members and attendees of the church.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google applications.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no company supervisory responsibilities. However, will supervise volunteers who serve in the Community Group Ministry.
