Chestnut Ridge Church (www.chestnutridgechurch.com) is seeking a full-time Videographer to communicate and the heart and vision of The Ridge through the production of creative video content that captures God, faith and personal life stories.

We are located in the educational, commercial, medical and cultural hub of north-central West Virginia. Home of the Division I, Big 12 West Virginia University Mountaineers, Morgantown is recognized as one of the best small cities in which to live, work and raise a family.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce videos that highlight the story, mission, and purpose of Chestnut Ridge Church, and communicate the value of the ministry and the Gospel to its members, the community, and the state
• Setup and film weekly pre/post service host segments
• Oversee the technical aspects of a video set including professional handling of cameras and video equipment
• Pitch and develop video content for storytelling, promotion, etc.
• Assist other ministries with their video project needs
• Produce content for the social media, as well as other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Programming Director & Creative Director
• Experienced in creating and editing high-quality reels for Facebook and Instagram
• Stay up-to-date on the latest social media and videography trends and techniques
• Help produce a high-quality weekly live stream of services
• Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of volunteers that will operate cameras for our live broadcasts
• Attend weekly meetings
• Perform other related duties as assigned and required

Qualifications/character:

• Degree in film or media related field; or at least 2-4 years experience in video production (editing in Adobe suite products) preferred
• Experience and training in studio and field production including lighting, audio and camera work
• Experience and training in post-production work including non-linear editing, compositing, and motion graphic design is a plus
• Proven ability to take projects from beginning to end (concept to production to final edit)
• Organized and able to effectively manage time and multiple projects
• Action-oriented and displays focus, passion and initiative
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in video production, graphic design and storytelling
• Committed to improvement, seeks and receives constructive criticism, understands strengths and weaknesses
• Effective visual, written and oral communicator
• Manages time and resources well
• Familiarity and/or experience with Chestnut Ridge Church ministries is a plus
• Ability to work evenings and weekends

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
